The 7230 only has 16MB memory so you might not have enough free on your device. I'd recommend trying with the 8700 simulator + MDS simulator available from RIM to confirm.

7.5.1 does not have a confirmed release date yet, but informally its being targetted for end of 1Q07. We may also look at a Beta progrom in that timeframe as well.
